PLANS for a new multi-million pound medical centre in Norfolk Park are to be unveiled today.

The new premises, proposed for a site at the junction of Park Grange Road and Beldon Road, would replace the existing Norfolk Park Medical Centre, in Tower Drive, as patient numbers have grown.

Simon Kirk, Director of Strategy for NHS Sheffield, said: “It’s part of NHS Sheffield’s vision to expand the range of healthcare services in Sheffield and improve access to services for local communities and this new development will help us deliver this for local people.”

Plans and images of the proposed new centre are on display today from 8.30am to 11am and 2pm to 5pm, and tomorrow from 8.30am to 11am and 1.30pm to 5pm, at the existing Norfolk Park Medical Centre.

If planning approval is given, the new centre would open in early 2011.
